This article analyzes harmonic features in Modest Mussorgsky’s piano music. It considers their interrelation with the artistic images and essence of Mussorgsky harmonic language phenomenon. This article argues that Mussorgsky’s imaginative aspect of music and its artistic expression are inextricably linked – in search for new harmonic solutions. Musicologists cited are V. P.
